Questions people ask

When is Chhath 2026?

The sandhya (evening) arghya is on Sunday 15 November 2026 at sunset, and the usha (morning) arghya on Monday 16 November at sunrise, by Nepal’s calendar. Nahay-khay and Kharna fall on the two days before.

What is the Chhath sunset time in Sydney?

Sunset in Sydney on 15 November 2026 is at 7:31 pm, and sunrise on 16 November at 5:47 am.

Why are the times different from Nepal’s?

Arghya is offered to the setting and rising sun where you are, so each city uses its own sunset and sunrise. Converting Nepal’s clock time would put the arghya at the wrong moment.
